ACK! I am SO grossed out!

So it was a beautiful spring day here with temps in the mid-70's. So of course I let the kids play outside most of the day. Then just before bedtime, I ruffled Evan's hair as I often do and felt *something*. I pulled him over to the light, messed around in his hair again, and found IT. A TICK! Right on the top of his head under that long mane of hair! I yelled for Brian, we put Evan in his chair, and Brian held his arms while I pulled out the tick with the tweezers. After about a minute I had it out, mouth and all. It didn't bleed at all, and the tick wasn't engorged at all. Thank you, God!! Anyway, my skin is crawling... I think I need a shower now.

Ah yes - the wonderful
Ah yes - the wonderful season for ticks! We know them well here too! As many as I have dealt with, you would think I would be used to them - nope! I dont think I will ever get used to those ugly little creatures! They are disgusting!
Tis the season
What a big coinky-dink. Guess what I found my own self doing yesterday afternoon on April 22nd? You guessed it! Ruffling hair, finding "something", that tell-tell bump. Oh no, a tick, embedded at that! Only it took me about 10 seconds to yank the thing out since I am such a pro at tick pulling (surprised Mr B let me do it with no fuss, he usually can't stand it when I touch his hair and I had to pull it some to make a clean sweep of the little parasite!). :)
Remember to check behind ear folds. We found a few last year in those cozy places.
