A bitty and a bitey

Yup, it is mosquito time down here. My poor babies don't do well with them AT ALL.  Miriam gets big ol' bites that take days to go away... and Evan.. oh, Evan.  One little bite on this boy can result in a quarter to half dollar size red swollen lump which produces numerous blisters that brake and bleed and ooze. The skin gets "leather" like and FINALLY a week later heals leaving a scar that takes months to fade away.  Luckily, I do know one thing that helps... ice.  Rub the area with an ice cube for 15-20 seconds as SOON as you notice the bite.  Get it right as it starts turning red and no reaction... even if you get it late after there is a huge lump it still heals much faster.  Thank God for ice.
